Foundation: Tawny

Trying to buy non toxic cosmetics, I've tried several liquid foundations from different companies. It turns out that Real Purity's Health Glow Cream Foundation is the nicest. There is no distinct scent, and unless it's pleasant, that's a good thing. I have dry, aged skin. I'm 72. With most of the non toxic foundations, they have been so greasy, or wet, that I have to use a bronzer or finishing powder which isn't bad, but with my skin, it can settle in lines and pores. With this foundation, you actually don't need a powder. As you get older, I have found, the less products you apply, the better. The only problem I have found is that most of the colors are too light for me, so I ordered the tawny, and mix a lighter foundation with it, like beige or medium beige. I can bring it up to the right color doing that. Also, I have put a very small dollop, very small dollop, of moisturizer in the foundation and mixed thoroughly. What a nice look. I'm not saying the lines are gone or there are no pores. I'm just saying there are less lines and less pores, and if I can do that, I say BINGO. This foundation goes on so easily, and really blends well. I order samples of everything before I buy these products.

This seems to be working for my skin tone. I love the way it just glides on and makes my skin look more alive.

I am super impressed with both the performance and ingredients of this product. Because it goes all over your face, foundation is one of those items that you want to trust every ingredient in, and this one has a very short, clean ingredients list. The idea behind it is simple yet refreshing: instead of cramming a product full of preservatives so that it can last for years on your shelf, the foundation contains basic natural ingredients and needs to use it up in a a reasonable amount of time. The website recommends 6-9 months, easily enough time to go through the container. As for performance, the foundation gives a nice natural looking finish. When applied correctly, it does not look like you are wearing anything at all. I would describe the coverage as light to medium, depending on how much you use. It easily covers redness and unevenness. One of the things that sold me on this foundation is that it really absorbs into your skin and dries to a soft finish. That makes it easy to layer, and also means that it sets on its own without powder. That's one less step and one less layer on your skin!

I have used all kinds of makeup over the years and this is the best I have ever put on my face. I will continue to use. I had become allergic to a lot of chemicals recently, and decided to try an all natural makeup. I have no problem with this foundation, blush, and mascara. Love it!
