Green Apple Facial Mask Sample Size

I tried the sample of the apple face mask and really liked it. This is a thick clay like mask. My skin felt toned, clean, and smooth after rinsing the mask. The mask had an apple smell slightly so it was a good smell. I feel that with normal use my skin will be more youthful and brighter. I just bought the full size mask and paired it with the facial scrub.

I tried this mask on clean skin after a shower. It smelled nice, and there was more than enough in the sample jar for a full face. It had a thick, somewhat sticky texture that went on easily. Unfortunately it started to burn my face almost immediately, and I had to wash it off after about two minutes. My while face was bright red and hot to the touch for at least an hour, even after spritzing it with calming toner and holding a cold towel to my face. I don't usually have sensitive skin (I make my own face masks out of clay and essential oils and don't have any problems), so I'm not sure what happened. I guess some of the ingredients didn't agree with my skin.
