Love this foundation.
I've been wearing this foundation for years and I love it. It's light coverage and goes on easily. I don't love the smell, but that's the only complaint I have.
I've loved this foundation but see now that while they've "dropped" the price by a dollar, they've also decreased the quantity from 1.5 oz to 1 oz. I think that's a little shady, switching bottles and trying to make it look like the cost decreased, to those who aren't watchful for these things. I get it, you're in it for profit, but $31 an oz is getting a bit much. As I work through this bottle I'll be sampling other brands for a replacement...
I just go the new and improved foundation yesterday. First of all, I love the new container. I was worried about the product freezing and the glass breaking before I got it from the mailbox, though. It seems this product has gone through several changes. I prefer the original formula which allowed my skin to look beautifully natural. The latest formula seemed a lot drier than the last time I ordered. As a result of it being drier, this foundation was harder to spread on my face and took more of the product. I purchased this product on sale this time, but in the future it will be more expensive to use as the glass container is smaller than the previous plastic one and it takes more of this formula per each use. Please, bring back the original formula.
I am so very upset about this reformulation. This once fabulous and Titanium- dioxide-free foundation is now a shadow of its former self. It used to give really good, build-able coverage. That is a thing of the past. The emulsifiers in this new formula mean that the foundation just sits on top of your skin and slides around. The base doesn't sink in and leave the pigment on your skin, like you want it to. All traces will be gone within a couple hours despite the technique you use (bush, fingers, sponge, patting, serum base, freshly cleaned skin, or primed - It won't matter. If you touch your face it will be gone even faster.). I tried this for a solid week and it never made it through my day at the office (the old formula would last 18 hours on me and my couple friends who also used it. And yes, they also moved on to other brands after the reformulation.) The lab-made emulsifiers also mean that you will likely get clogged pores from this new formula. It also looks incredibly streaky and cake-y compared to the old version. It doesn't do much to cover discoloration. My tinted moisturizer from another brand actually gives better coverage which kind of surprised me. It also smells much stronger and I don't know about everyone else, but it made my skin break out. It also used to be titanium-dioxide free. That is no longer the case. It may still work for others since the TD is pycnogenol-coated, but those with actual chemical sensitivities will not be able to wear this without a reaction developing after a couple hours. It's such a shame this company continues to reformulate their products. One by one I have had to stop using each article that I used to rave about and buy habitually. Newer is not better with Real Purity. So disappointed they decided to depart from the original formulas which built the brand.
