I wish Real Purity would make some subtle eyeshadow colors. Example: Taupe, light brown. Most of the current colors are too bright and do not look good on mature women.
I find this to be the perfect shade of gray, not too dark, not too light. Its other advantages are that it is matte so no sparkles or shine, it stays in place all day, and the price is great. Love it!
I wanted a medium grey. Not light grey or charcoal grey. It was way too light.
I have been looking for a good gray to use as a liner that I mix with a little water and paint a soft line above my top lashes extending past the corner. I am 60 this year so only soft looks best....harsh darks makes older women LOOK old. This is the Perfet Color for me. My eyes are light blue- green with a grey ring around them.....this color makes my eyes soft and I feel beautiful. People see my eyes.....not my makeup. I only want pure products, and especially near my eyes! My hair is Auburn with my grey starting to come in.....this color even makes my hair look great.
Smoke grey eyeshadow
This eye shadow is more of a greige than grey. I do like it though. Nice subtle look on my eyelids. I'm 68, with auburn hair and complexion. The quality of the product is very good. Nice staying power, lasted all day. Glad to get it on sale! Would definitely shop for more of these eye shadows.
The Real Deal!
My coloring: NW15 in MAC; brunette; green eyes. I'm a "Winter," and I LOVE grey eyeshadows, but have difficulty finding greys that don't look blue on me.
RP Smoke Grey is that very rare bird, a grey eyeshadow that applies grey on my oily lids, and *stays* true grey all day, even when applied to clean, unprimed lids. This shadow is smooth, generously pigmented, and easy to blend, as well. I also like the no-frills packaging, featuring a generous amount of product in a sturdy, clear-lidded screw-top container.
Best of all, it's cruelty-free, which is an absolute "must" for me.
I'll be checking out more of Real Purity's matte shadows!
Description says it's silver, but it's actually a medium grey.
I have bought several different eye shadows, some I use for eye liner, and some for eye shadow. I bought the matte grey for eye shadow. It's a great "neutral" color, goes with everything, and at the moment, I've had it on for 7 hours, and it still looks good. This is amazing considering I'm 72, and I have a hard time keeping shadows on my eye lids. This shadow has good staying power. I will buy it again. I wish there were more lighter colors that are neutral, because I can't wear the darker ones, unless I'm using them for eye liner.
use every day
I had never thought of wearing gray eyeshadow with my blue green eyes and pale white skin. But I read on natural website that sells Real Purity that gray can work for just about anyone so I tried it and to my surprise find it seems to go with everything I wear. I use the smoke gray color and vanilla almost everyday now. As another review said it's nice to have natural pressed eyeshadow as the powders are very messy.
Real Purity brand eyeshadows.......hummm.
Not that exceptional in color range, I am sorry. I bought the gray and the off-white. I think that the difficulty lies within the color-range, not the actual formula though.....the formula felt smooth and creamy enough on my fingers when I applied it......it was just that I do not look good inn murky, muddy, dark colors, or off-whites or beigey.....flat colors having zero shimmer just do not light up the eyes nor do any favors to the complexion at all. Too matte, and way too dark. Sorry, no cigar.
My pale, icy, Nordic eyes look best in silver shimmer eyeshadow on the lids, white frost under the orbital browbone, and medium-light grey in the crease, with light semi-matte grey under the eye as eyeliner, with silver frost liquid eyeliner on top of the eyeball along the upper lid lashline with black mascara above and below.
When Real Purity comes out with these eyemakeup shades, I will purchase from no one else! Becasue Real Purity really does know how to make products out of good ingredients! I respect that ethic.
I buy several of their products. But not the eyeshadow as is now.
