Safflower oil is rich in linoleic acid, which plays a crucial role in maintaining the skin's barrier function. Topical application of safflower oil has been shown to improve skin hydration and support the development of the skin barrier, potentially reducing the need for steroid treatments in conditions like eczema.

The high linoleic acid content in safflower oil may help improve acne by reducing clogged pores.
